Green Bay Packers fans in central Ohio score big with their generosity to charity

Good News Notes:

“A Green Bay Packers fan club with a charitable mission will donate more than $3,000 to homeless advocacy at the end of the team’s season.

The Buckeye Packer Backers consist of more than 200 devout Green Bay fans who watch Packers games at the On Tap Pub on Bethel Road on the Northwest Side. With a “Give back, and Go Pack Go” motto, the club conducts a 50-50 raffle during each game and chooses a charity to receive the season’s earnings.

This season’s collection will be donated to the Coalition on Homeless and Housing in Ohio. COHHIO’s main focus is advocating on behalf of Ohio’s homeless population to ensure federal funds are appropriated accordingly and already established resources are running smoothly, said Marcus Roth, the group’s communications director.”
