“With help from Jersey City’s Department of Health and Human Services, a homeless couple got married in Journal Square on Valentine’s Day.
Shirley Robinson and Kevin Brown met in a drug rehab program more than two years ago. They started talking and bonded over one something they had in common: his wife had passed away and so did her boyfriend.
Six months ago, Brown asked Robinson if she would like to get married and she said yes. They later decided they would like to get married on Valentine’s Day.”
