More than $90K in materials donated to communities in school supply drive

Good News Notes:

Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada, an affiliate of the nation’s leading dropout prevention organization, announces it received more than $90,000 in materials and cash donations to kick off its 8th annual “Fill the Bus” school supply drive in support of Clark County School District students during the upcoming 2020-2021 school year.

Donated items include distance learning school supplies, hygiene products, COVID-19 safety items such as face masks and hand sanitizer, among other school essentials.

‘Fill the Bus’ is a statewide annual campaign, aimed at collecting school supplies for the more than 70,000 high poverty students it serves across urban and rural districts, including Clark, Washoe and Elko counties.

Items donated here in Las Vegas stay in Southern Nevada to serve students throughout the valley.”
