“An official with a local nonprofit that serves young parents said they have served about twice as many parents this year as in years past, and they think the pandemic is to blame.
Rosemary’s Babies provides a network of support for teen parents by offering them services ranging from emergency resources to baby supplies.
Rosemary Oglesby-Henry, the founder of Rosemary’s Babies, said last year around this time, they served 194 families, but this year, they have served 375. Oglesby-Henry said part of the reason they have served so many more is the economic impact of the pandemic.”
