“There was no question when I heard that the event was in aid of MIND, I had to do it – it is a charity that is very close to my heart. Mental health, and real help in that area, is so crucial – and we all need it. I lost a friend to suicide earlier this year. It was completely out of the blue for me – maybe one of the last people I would have expected to have had those thoughts. I wish I could turn back time and made sure she got the help she needed, but all I can do is to try to raise awareness for the future. Even for people who don’t suffer that severely, we all need to know there is somewhere we can turn for help when we need it. Our mind needs health checks just like the rest of our body.”
