“It’s not often that you see the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers come together as one for a common goal, but that’s exactly what the bitter Cascadia Cup rivals are doing with a new joint project between the clubs they’re calling SEAvPDX Week.
With the first meeting of the season between the sides scheduled for May 17 postponed, the Sounders and Timbers will instead mark the historic rivalry with a week of unique content and competitive opportunities for the fan bases. During the week, fans will also be encouraged to donate to their club’s selected community COVID-19 relief charity – the United Way of the Columbia-Willamette for the Timbers and the Seattle Sounders FC Relief Fund for Sounders FC – with the ability to donate directly online.”
