Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Ask for Donations to Charity in Honor of Lilibet Diana’s Birth

Good News Notes:

Among the few positive revelations from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive tell-all interview with Oprah earlier this year was the news that the couple were expecting their second child this summer. Baby girl Sussex has finally made her debut, entering the world just before noon on Friday, June 4th—her parents announced the news two days later.

Joining big brother Archie, who is now 2, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, named in honor of both her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth (Lilibet was her childhood nickname) and late grandmother Princess Diana, now completes this carefree California family. The newborn also undoubtedly provides a much-needed bright spot of joy at the halfway mark of a difficult year for both Windsor family and firm. (First there was the fallout from the Oprah interview in March, and then Prince Philip’s death almost exactly a month later.)

In addition to their official statement announcing Lilibet’s birth, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a more personal note through their foundation, Archewell. “On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family,” they wrote….”
