Street Fighter subreddit tournament raises over $17,000 for Black Lives Matter charities

The Street Fighter subreddit recently hosted a tournament for Black Lives Matter charities which has currently raised over $17,000 USD. According to a report by Kotaku, the tournament started off small, with the organizer Joe Munday putting in $200 USD of his own money for the weekly event.

In a short span of time, the contributions had grown to several thousands on Matcherino’s website, which is still accepting donations. As of this time, close to 500 people in the fighting game community have contributed.”
